The Fund invests in, and provides entrepreneurial know-how to growing SMEs in East Africa. By active participation of a local investment team of 4 Kenyan and Dutch professionals, we contribute to the profitability, sustainability and growth of the companies we invest in. 
InReturn East Africa Fund maintains a network of entrepreneurs and investors in Western Europe and has extensive financial and management experience. InReturn is well positioned to strengthen businesses in East Africa, enabling them to grow to success.

Investments in East African SMEs
InReturn East Africa Fund welcomes business plans and proposals from motivated, skilled and committed entrepreneurs in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. We are interested in businesses that have the potential to grow and deliver commercial and social return.

We will then inform you whether the Investment Process will continue to the next phase. During the process we guarantee absolute confidentiality.

 Investment Criteria
The InReturn East Africa Fund considers applications that include a proper business plan and meet the criteria stated down below. General investment criteria for SMEs:

•         Existing business with a track record of at least 3 years
•         Management team with sound reputation, capable, knowledgeable and financially committed
•         Sound strategy and business model
•         Profitable, now or within a limited period of time
•         Capital need between Euro 100.000 and Euro 1 million
•         Not able to attract enough financing from a bank
•         Financing need for 3 to maximum 7 years
•         Audited accounts for at least 3 years
•         Transparency and receptivity to governance and accounting standards
•         Compliance with labor, health and safety regulations
